- Eligibility: The Doncaster Sub Aqua Club Lottery is open to individuals aged 18 years or older who are residents of the United Kingdom. By purchasing a ticket, participants confirm that they meet these eligibility criteria.
- Subscription Cost & Ticket Details: The cost of each subscription is £5.00 per month. Each ticket purchased incurs a small operating cost which is deducted from the prize pool. The remaining proceeds will be allocated to the prize fund and charitable purposes.
- Proceeds Allocation: A percentage of the proceeds from each ticket sale will be directed towards Doncaster Sub Aqua Club (the “Charity”). The exact amount allocated to the Charity will vary between 20% and approximately 71% of the ticket price, with this percentage determined by an exponential decay formula. This formula ensures that as the number of players increases, the proportion of the proceeds allocated to the prize fund decreases in a weighted manner.
- Prize Fund: The prize fund will be calculated after deducting the operating costs. The prize fund will be subject to a proportional reduction based on the exponential decay formula. As the number of participants grows, the prize fund will decrease in order to maximize charitable contributions. The prize fund is not guaranteed and may fluctuate depending on the number of participants.
- Subscription & Cancellation: This lottery operates on a monthly subscription basis. By subscribing, participants agree to pay the subscription fee of £5.00 per month for each applicable draw. Subscriptions will automatically renew each month until cancelled. Participants may cancel their subscription at any time. Cancellation will take effect from the next scheduled payment cycle, and no further payments will be taken. However, cancellation will not affect any tickets already purchased for upcoming draws, and no refunds will be issued for previous payments.
- Payment Processing: Payments for subscriptions will be processed through third-party payment services. These third-party services securely handle payment transactions and store payment information. Doncaster Sub Aqua Club is not responsible for any issues arising from the third-party payment services. By participating, you agree to the terms and conditions of these third-party services, which will be provided during the payment process.
- Winners & Prizes: Winners of the lottery will be selected through a random selection process, ensuring fairness in determining the recipients of prizes. The specific prizes available and the exact distribution will be outlined at the time of the lottery draw. All prize payments are subject to verification and the availability of funds.
- Participation & Withdrawal: By purchasing a ticket, you agree to participate in the lottery draw. You may opt out of future monthly subscription payments at any time, with effect from the next payment cycle. However, previous payments are non-refundable, and any tickets already purchased will remain valid for the relevant lottery draw.
- Data Protection: Personal data collected from participants will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Your personal details will only be used for the purposes of the lottery, including notifying you of any winnings. Your information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law.
- General Terms: The Doncaster Sub Aqua Club reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the lottery at any time, including adjusting the percentage of proceeds allocated to charity or prizes. Any such changes will be clearly communicated to participants in advance.
- Limitation of Liability: Doncaster Sub Aqua Club shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your participation in the lottery, including but not limited to the failure of the lottery draw to take place, technological issues, or the cancellation of the lottery. The lottery is governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
