Try-Dive can help you save time and money by finding out in advance if you like diving. Costing just £25, first-timers can experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the first time!
A typical Try Dive session, lasting about 45 minutes, involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a SCUBA dive in our pool with a BSAC-qualified instructor. We run Try-Dives on the third Wednesday evening of the month at Hall Cross School, Thorne Road, Doncaster – all you will need is a swimming costume or shorts, and a T-shirt to wear in the water. We’ll provide the rest!
Your instructor will run you through a few basic safety procedures along with a brief explanation of your SCUBA equipment. Once you are comfortable and happy, we can try swimming underwater and allow you to experience the weightless underwater environment. If you are confident enough and, more importantly, you want to, we will teach you some more basic skills such as barrel rolls and somersaults!
Try Dives are held on the third Wednesday of every month, and they are £25pp. These are pre-book only. (subject to bookings, it may be moved to the next month if we don’t meet our minimum of 4 persons per session)

We can cater for larger groups; such as Scouts, Cadets, Round Table, Clubs etc.
Team and/or family events are also popular – give us a shout!
We only train new divers over the age of 14 (must be accompanied by an adult to all training if under 16), but we welcome anyone to Try Dive from the age of 10.
We will take on 12-year-old members if they are training alongside at least one adult family member.
The price can vary depending on what level you come to us at. Full BSAC and Club membership can start anywhere from £560 with the full Ocean Diver (Level 1) training package. Monthly payment options are available.
Reduced member fees available for joint, family and junior or student 18+ in full time education.

Our Clubhouse is on Greyfriars Road in Doncaster, and we open on a Wednesday evening at 8pm.
